Manager's house
IOCO Memories
Chapter 5
On the corner of Ioco Road and 2nd Avenue stood the home of the Refinery Manager. With its two storied stucco exterior, it was the finest house in the community. This cream-colored home was built in 1932 and had two entrances; the main entrance was facing Ioco road with a side entrance facing the lawn bowling green. The view from the manager’s house shows the lawn bowling area, school, gym and Anglican Church.
The manor was transported in the 1970s by barge to where it's currently located in Port McNeill and was a bed and breakfast for a number of years.
