““Sooo... quite happy with the party yesterday; difficult to put all into words.

Given the weather conditions, early morning uncertainty whether guests could make it or even museum staff... we phoned the museum ~10am and someone cheerfully picked-up and said ‘yes I’m here!’.

Met Leanne upon arrival and she said something that will stick with me for a while — ‘snow’s not going to stop me; I’ll do anything for the kids/birthday party’.
It didn’t sink-in at the time but today I look back and realize that moments like this are kind-of-a big deal to the kids.. with the weeks of anticipation leading-up.

The overall experience was excellent; everything from parking, staff, venue to activities... nothing new you haven’t already heard before.

“We had such a wonderful time exploring the museum and have received great feedback from all the parents and the children absolutely loved it. Most of the parents and children had never been into the building before and had no idea how much you offer. Having the children learn about another form of transportation is so important these days since most people just drive everywhere. Brianne, you were so good with the young children and had them so engaged in learning through play and fun. I will be back again next year”

“On January 20, 2024, I rented the Venosta Railcar in front of the Port Moody Museum for my 90th birthday celebration. One week prior to the event, the pipes in the railcar froze during an unexpected cold snap and heavy snowstorm. What could have been a disaster was averted due to the quick and professional action of the entire team at the Port Moody Museum. With invited out-of-town guests, musicians, dancers and caterers all depending on access, the staff was able to activate an emergency back-up plan. On very short notice they were able to pivot and accommodate our event by moving it across to the museum. Brianne Egeto, Dianna Brown, and Joshmar Navarro were absolutely above and beyond in overcoming the adverse conditions. They worked tirelessly to clear the snowbound parking lot, and set up the tables and chairs inside the main room. They also ensured that the overhead projector and screen were available throughout the day and assisted in every other way possible. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism and warm-hearted welcome they provided. They alleviated all my concerns about how the day would unfold and we all enjoyed an enormously successful event. I would like to extend my most sincere thank you to all the staff at the Port Moody Museum. I would not hesitate in recommending this excellent facility. ”
